This is my first time at a blog. Hopefully I am Able to figure this out and do it so everyone can understand it.
From 23 January to February 14 we went on a Viking Cruise from Valparaiso, Chile to Bueno Aries, Argentina and then onto Iguazu Falls. It is located on the border of Argentina and Brazil next to Paraguay. </p> Valparaiso is located about the middle of Chili. Chili is a small strip of the Southern Part of The South American Continent. Bordered on the West by the Pacific Ocean and on the East By the Andes Mountains.
ValparaÃso is a major city, seaport, and educational center. “Greater ValparaÃso” is the third largest metropolitan area in the country. ValparaÃso is located about 120 kilometers (75 mi) northwest of by road and is one of the South Pacific’s most important seaports. ValparaÃso is the capital of Chile’s second most populated administrative region and has been the headquarters for the Chilean National Congress since 1990. ValparaÃso has two state-owned and several private universities.
Notable features include Latin America’s oldest stock exchange, the continent’s first volunteer fire Department, Chile’s first public libaray, and the oldest Spanish Language newspaper in continuous publication in the world, El Mercuria de Valparaiso.
The second half of the twentieth century was unfavorable to ValparaÃso, as many wealthy families abandoned the city. The opening of the Panama Canal and reduction in ship traffic dealt a serious blow to ValparaÃso’s port-based economy. Over the first 15 years of the twenty-first century, the city reached a recovery, attracting artists and cultural entrepreneurs who have set up in the city’s several hillside historic districts. Today, many thousands of tourists visit ValparaÃso from around the world to enjoy the city’s labyrinth of cobbled alleys and colorful buildings. The port of ValparaÃso continues to be a major distribution center for container traffic, copper, and fruit exports. ValparaÃso also receives growing attention from cruise ships that visit during the South American summer. Most significantly, ValparaÃso has transformed itself into a major educational center with four large traditional universities and several large vocational colleges. The city exemplifies Chilean culture, with festivals every year, and street artists and musicians.
Since this is my first time I am not sure how much I am able to include. So for now I will send this and hope it comes through.
Thank you
